Encrypted Subversion Now Up and Running
I’ve just completed setup of a self-signed certificate on our clustered Subversion repositories.
This means that our customers can access their repositories on our servers with complete cryptographic integrity and security from anywhere in the world.
It’s interesting the way that security used to mean behind closed doors. I suppose it’s still the same thing in many ways, but it does seem the doors take you farther than they used to!
We’ll be using a Certificate Authority signed certificate soon enough. Our customers will without doubt prefer not to receive warning messages about our certificate not being able to be verified when they connect to our servers. :-)
Rest assured, your data is safe at Engine Yard. While software may not be able to vouch for our certificate, I can. :-)
