Zaadz.com on Dedicated Engine Yard Cluster

We’re very happy to announce that Zaadz.com moved their fast-growing community website to a dedicated Engine Yard cluster on July 26th.

The Zaadz cluster uses our 3rd-generation cluster architecture and is roughly equivalent to 150 of our standard slices.

Having their own cluster allows Zaadz to customize features beyond what’s reasonable in a shared cluster. In addition, their current cluster has a lot of capacity to grow into, and yet still has plenty of physical space for hardware expansion well into the future.

Zaadz pays us one monthly fee and we take care of all infrastructure, software updates, system management, data center issues and costs, insurance, etc, etc. It’s Rails app deployment and scaling made very easy!
