September Travels
It’s the start of another month, and another leg in the Engine Yard journey. Check out the schedule to see if we’ll be in your neighborhood this September!
RubyWorld
September 7-8 | Matsue, Shimane, Japan
Engine Yard’s Charles Nutter, Tom Enebo and Evan Phoenix will all be on hand to answer questions about all things Ruby.
NYC.rb
_September 9 | New York City, NY _
Engine Yard is a proud recurring sponsor of the NYC.rb User Group, and this month we’re sending Yehuda Katz to update the group on the progress of Rails 3. For details keep an eye on the group’s homepage.
JavaZone
_September 9-10 | Oslo, Norway _
Nick Sieger will be representing JRuby at JavaZone in Norway, which is the area’s largest Java show. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop in and say hello! He’d love to see some Ruby faces in the crowd.
WindyCityRails
_September 12 | Chicago, IL _
Yehuda Katz will be returning to WindyCityRails for the second year in a row, this time delivering the final talk on Rails 3 and the future. He’s been touring the country (and world) updating folks on Rails 3, and with the constant progress, every talk is full of new and exciting content. Tickets are still available, but won’t last long.
JVM Language Summit
_September 16-18 | Santa Clara, CA _
Charles Nutter and Tom Enebo will be here in California representing JRuby to our friends in Java land. Much like Nick in Oslo, they’d love to see Ruby faces in the crowd.
Future of Web Apps
_September 30 - October 2 | London, England _
Future of Web Apps is a Carson Systems production and features a speaker list of folks from all areas and technologies. Yehuda Katz will be there talking about Rails 3, alongside tech industry people like Gary Vaynerchuk, Kevin Rose and Michael Arrington. It’s great to see Rails on the same roster as these guys. If you’re in the London area or thinking about a trip, get your tickets now!
That’s it for this month! As always, if you’ve got an event coming up and would be interested in an Engine Yard speaker, send us an email. We’d love to come see you :)
