June 28, 2013: This Week at Engine Yard

This week was all about working on our multi-cloud offering, which is going to be giving us some awesome new clusters (infrastruture agnostic!), updated stacks, and much more. A big part of this story was revealed on Wednesday, when our partnership with Microsoft Windows Azure was announced at their Build conference!

Have an awesome 4th of July!

Engineering Updates

This week, we were so excited to announce the next stage of our multi-cloud story, the Engine Yard platform becoming available on Microsoft Windows Azure! The press release went out Wednesday as we began the first day of participating in Microsoft’s Build conference. As we begin to make Engine Yard available on Windows Azure (through the store!), we are also continuing work to make Windows Azure a selectable infrastructure from the Cloud dashboard. This new functionality will allow our customers greater flexibility of choice and options as they set up robust multi-region and multi-cloud environments at the click of a button.

Provisioned IOPs and EBS-Optimized instances from AWS have moved into GA on our platform! Take advantage of these for all of your IO hungry data and application needs.
