Happy Thanksgiving! And Black Friday! And Cyber Monday! The next few weeks will be exciting as sites scale and shopping and travel traffic go wild. Our community team is working with our data and support team to do a podcast with tips for making sure your site is ready for any seasonal traffic spikes - or you can always open a support ticket and ask for personalized help.

Engineering Updates

There’s a new SSH management page that account owners can check out! It’s a feature that’s going to morph soon into a more complete access control experience, but for now you can login to your dashboard and go to https://cloud.engineyard.com/keypairs/collaborators to see all the SSH keys on your various environments, and delete them if necessary!

So, for example, if you were to want to remove a certain Thomas Mahoney from having SSH keys on various environments, you could scroll to his name and see something like this:

This feature is going to be rolled into a different access control based feature set soon, so look for updates, but for now let us know what you think in our feature request forum!

Tuesday, November 26th: Join us at our Dublin HQ for the Dublin Scale User Group. This month’s featured presentations include a demo on “Functional Dynamic Programming in Scala” by Gilt Senior Software Engineer Andrew Duffy, and a Scala talk by Gilt Senior Software Engineer Ugo Matrangolo. Thursday, November 28th: Have you been trying to learn more Node.js? Then drop by our Dublin office for the Node.js Dublin meetup this Thursday.  We’ll be going through the choose-your-own-adventure style tutorials of Nodeschool.
